Saint Aidan's Church of England Technology College is situated in
an attractive village, and is surrounded by extensive playing fields and
immaculate landscaped grounds and gardens.

It was established in 1963 to serve the five parishes and
villages of the Over Wyre area, and is the Fylde's only Church of England
co-educational comprehensive school.

However since 1963 the catchment area has grown to include
Poulton, Fleetwood, Thornton-Cleveleys and villages towards Garstang.

The last ten years have seen major changes at Saint Aidan's.
In 1994 Saint Aidan's became a designated Technology College
thus ensuring the school stays at the forefront of developments
in information and communications technology.

Also in that time a number of major building projects have
been completed, and as a result the school now has a purpose built
Art Suite, Drama & Music Suite, Gymnasium, Learning Resources Centre.

In September 2001, to further encourage the Saint Aidan's family ethos,
the school changed to a vertical based pastoral system.

At the heart of the family are its Houses; Babbage, Hillary, Keller and Nightingale.
Each house has eight tutor groups and uniquely each tutor group
enhances the family environment by consisting of students from
each year group. This creates an environment in which their full potential
can be developed and strong, healthy relationships across the year
groups can be achieved.

Saint Aidan's continues to create a stimulating, secure and
caring environment and is committed to providing its students
every opportunity to develop into happy, responsible
and fulfilled members of the community.
